North Carolina Avoided Cost Docket Testimony

I recently filed testimony on Value of Solar in the North Carolina Utilities Commission avoided cost proceeding. My filing was on behalf of the great folks at the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (
NCSEA).

The utilities in North Carolina seek low avoided costs because that is the amount they want to pay to independent generators - like the folks with rooftop solar systems. The Value of Solar issue is that if the utility would value solar appropriately, the payments to solar generators would be more fair, and the solar market would move more rapidly to sustainability.

testimony.
